Dr Joanne Lee, a senior haematologist who has spent years caring for patients with blood cancers, never expected that she would one day be the match. When she was identified as a compatible donor, she didn’t hesitate — she stepped forward and underwent peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC) collection to give someone a second chance at life. In this video, she shares her journey from doctor to donor, what the process was really like, and why anyone can play a part in saving a life.
